The 2017 edition of the Preston Street Criterium was the 45th edition of the longest-running bike race in the Ottawa area.
First run in 1972, Preston Street was founded by local cycling legends Alan Large and Peter Tyler. Each Fathers’ Day since then the race has been a part of the Italian Festival in Ottawa’s Little Italy.
The race course and format have evolved over the years, but it remains a great way to spend a few hours in a charismatic part of the city. And with Rogers TV out to cover the event, you can catch the broadcast in Ottawa and Toronto later in the month.
