The 49th edition of the Preston Street Criterium will take place on Sunday, June 18, 2023! This year we will be using the North Course for the second time and if the first time (in 2019 before the pandemic) is any indication this will be a great race this year!
The Preston Street Criterium features fixie crit racing from 9am until 10am, and a full day of Ontario Cycling Association-sanctioned racing from 10am until 6pm showcasing everything from some of the top professional cyclists in the region competing for cash to youngsters who dream of emulating them one day.
Speaking of children, the ever-popular kids’ races include events for every age from under 5 to 14 years old. To enter, go to the online registration page. Entry is just $12 and proceeds go to the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario (CHEO).
For all races, you must register online before the deadline Wednesday the 14th of June at 11:59 pm. Discounted registration is available for teams of three women riders or more, or men’s teams that enter five riders or more! There will be no race-day registration.
And in a tradition that has been kept going thanks to the support of Kichesippi Beer, the Elite women’s and Elite men’s winners are awarded their weight in beer on our giant scale!

Race 3: 1:45 pm U9 M&F (born in 2015 or later) 2 laps.
Race 4: 2:05 pm U11 M&F (born in 2013 or later) 15 min + 2 laps. U11M, U11F will each have a unique number colour by category and will be placed by category.
Race 5: 2:35 pm U13 M&F (born in 2011 or later) 20 min + 2 laps. U13M and U13F will each have a unique number colour by category and will be placed by category.
Race 6: 3:05 pm U15 M&F (born in 2009 or later) 30 min. + 2 laps. U15M, U15F, will each have a unique number colour by category, and will be placed by category.
Race 7: 3:45 pm U17 M&F (born in 2007 or later) 30 min. + 2 laps. U17M and U17F will each have a unique number colour by category and will be placed by category.
